Ben Davison has been with the ACTU for seven years serving as Communications Director, Managing Director of ACTU Member Connect and, until recently, served six years as the organisations Chief of Staff under both former ACTU Secretary Dave Oliver and current ACTU Secretary Sally McManus
Following an organisational restructure in November 2019 the Chief of Staff role devolved into a number of positions and Ben has taken on the role as Director of Communications and Marketing
As a key part of the ACTU Leadership team Ben has broad experience across a wide range of disciplines and extensive experience in organisational change, staff management, team leadership, communications, campaigns, corporate affairs and policy development.
Previously the CEO of South Port UnitingCare and the Membership and Community Development Manager at Diabetes Australia-Vic Ben has extensive not for profit management experience.
Having completed his MBA at Melbourne Business School Ben grounds his understanding of the important role that capital allocations, financial management, industrial relations, marketing and economic policy play in shaping our society in not just his lived experience but also through the lens of some of the world’s most respected thinkers.
