Change leadership: Thriving amid industry disruption
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has been a major disruptor to the disability sector. So how did Can:Do 4 Kids manage to significantly reduce staff turnover and increase productivity during a trial of the NDIS?
In this session, Can:Do Group’s Heidi Limareff will take you through the organisation’s astounding success through disruptive change. From recruitment through the entire employee life cycle, you’ll learn how to empower staff to embrace both change and new behaviours – all while maintaining a strong focus on your clients.
Heidi Limareff is the Group Chief Executive of the Can:Do Group, comprised of South Australia’s two oldest disability service providers, Can:Do 4Kids and Deaf Can:Do. Working closely with staff and leadership to transform Can:Do’s culture, Heidi has successfully slashed the organisation’s turnover rate from 30 to 8 per cent.
Originally from Philadelphia in the US, Heidi’s qualification as an audiologist brought her to Australia in 2000. She learned people management on the job after being appointed to a role with Australian Hearing, after which she started a social enterprise audiology business for the Deaf Society whilst completing her MBA.
