Managing volunteers through change: The tools and skills you need
Change is a constant in the not-for-profit sector. While employees are often supported through times of change, volunteers can be forgotten or become an afterthought.
In this session, Volunteering Victoria’s Sara Sterling will share the tools and strategies necessary for managers of volunteers to coach their teams through organisational change. Referencing the National Standards of Volunteer Involvement, you’ll learn insider hints and tips to create a relevant change management framework for your organisation’s volunteers.
Sara Sterling is the Sector Development Manager at Volunteering Victoria. With more than 10 years’ experience in the not-for-profit and government sectors, she has held a range of roles related to volunteer management, program administration and early childhood education.
Sara holds a Master in Social Policy and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She is passionate about increasing sector capacity, and believes in the power of volunteering for both individuals and organisations.
