Engaging consumers in your recruitment: Lessons from Star Health
(Speaking with Fiona Noble)
In healthy communities, everyone should have the opportunity to participate in conversations and have a say on decisions.
So when it comes to recruitment, giving clients a voice and opportunity to be directly involved in the decision on a staff member who will be serving their needs can be extremely powerful.
In this session, Fiona Noble and Virginia Alexander share how Star Health – a leading provider of Primary Health services in Victoria – incorporates the needs of its clients, carers and community when doing recruitment.
They’ll take you through the benefits for the organisation, staff and consumers, and give practical takeaways on how to involve consumers in your own recruitment, while avoiding the risks.
Working across a number of different areas including recruitment and general HR, Virginia Alexander is an HR Officer at Star Health. She has a degree in sociology and a postgraduate qualification in human resources.
Virginia is also involved in the development and implementation of attraction, selection and candidate strategies with a focus on diversity, ethics and retention.
