Workshop: Leading with purpose
All NFPs were founded on a belief and purpose that they could further human rights or climate justice, or both. But, in becoming service contractors for government, focusing on activities/outputs, and doing ever more marketing to raise funds, their underlying beliefs and purpose can be lost, including failing to measure the outcomes that demonstrate their impact in living out their purpose. This can lead to disillusioned staff, volunteers, supporters and funders.
In this 2 hour practical workshop, you’ll learn:

About Paul
Paul is a CEO, author, director and founder. Over the last twenty five years in Australia, Paul has been the CEO/GM/Director of a number of purpose-driven organisations: The Body Shop, Very Special Kids, YSAS, Mission Australia Victoria and Australian Volunteers International; COO the Brotherhood of St Laurence; CFO of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service; Head of Program Resourcing, including emergency logistics for World Vision Australia.
In 2021, Paul authored a book – PurposeFull – about how businesses and not-for-profits do better as purpose-driven organisations. Paul then started a consultancy, PurposeFull, and joined Brainwave Australia as their CEO. In 2022 Paul launched Zero Together, Australia’s first social enterprise to support NFPs become carbon neutral.
