Conference keynote speaker – Dr Bob Brown – announced

It’s our great pleasure to announce that Bob Brown, former Senator and Leader of the Australian Greens and now Director of the Sea Shepherd Australia, will be joining us in August as Keynote Speaker for the Not-For-Profit People Conference.

Dr Brown has been a doctor, an environmentalist, a politician and a not-for-profit leader. He was first elected to Tasmania’s parliament in 1983, and was a key force behind the formation of the Tasmanian Greens and the Australian Greens in 1992. He was also a founder of the Australian Bush Heritage Fund (now Bush Heritage Australia), and later founded the Bob Brown Foundation, which supports environmental campaigns and campaigners in Australia and our region.

An acclaimed photographer and a published author, Bob continues to inspire and lead with compassion as Director of the Australian chapter of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

He will speak to the conference on the topic of “Leading passionate people in the not-for-profit sector: Lessons from 30 years in politics and public life”.
